HBF Member Plus - DB Dental

HBF Health Insurance Dental Extras are changing

Changes are coming on January 1, 2019.

What will the changes mean for a visit to the dentist?

We understand health insurance cover can be complex, so we’re making things more straightforward. HBF members can now attend any of our DB Dental practices across Perth and receive the same benefits from practice to practice. It’s that simple.

What kind of benefits are available?

For starters, you can receive a fully covered scale and clean with your dental check-up.

That means when you attend your scale and clean appointment, our friendly DB Dental receptionist simply swipes your HBF members card at the end of your visit rather than charging you.*

It gets even better. Depending on your level of cover, you may, in fact, be able to claim all your preventative care without any out-0f-pocket expenses. Preventative care services can include check-up, scale and clean, mouthguards, x-rays, exams, fissure sealing  (this is a protective layer a dentist can add to your chewing teeth to reduce decay).

What is the difference between a Member Plus dentist and Non-Member Plus dentist?

We are a Member Plus dentist. In simple terms, this means we’re able to offer you consistent fees across all of our practices. (So, for example. when we say you will be $0 out-of-pocket for a Scale and Clean**, we can stand by that).

What happens if I pre-booked my treatment for 2019?

In some instances, fees can change for different procedures each year. We want things to be fair so we are happy to honor any treatment plans issued between 1st November 2018 and 31st December 2018. DB Dental will also honor the charges for appointments booked before the 31st January 2019. Your rebate may change after 1st January 2019 so please contact HBF to confirm your rebate OR go into any DB Dental location with your HBF card and our reception team can re-quote your treatment plan

Take advantage of your new benefits and book now.

*If in doubt about fees, we always suggest contacting your health insurance provider. Cover can vary depending on your individual plan so your health insurance provider is best placed to give you the most accurate information, but we will do our best to help.

**Check-ups can be partially out of pocket, depending on your level of HBF cover.
