Dr Truong graduated with a Bachelor of Dentistry with Honours in 2012 after completing a Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours I) from the University of Sydney. Since then, she has worked in both private practice and dental hospitals in Sydney and Perth. She has held a 3-year position as an Oral Surgery/Oral Medicine resident at the Sydney Dental Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Concord Repatriation Hospital and as a Clinical tutor at the University of Sydney.
Dr Truong is a confident and sound clinician with a proven track record of presenting excellent clinical work; she has been awarded the Martin Halas Overall Clinical Prize, the Anthony P Martin Endodontics Prize and the Dr Lothian G Crane Pathology Prize from the University of Sydney. She has also successfully completed her Primary examinations for Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
Her special interests include Oral Surgery, Sedation dentistry, Restorative and Cosmetic dentistry, Prosthodontics and provision of dental treatment to anxious patients. She is a very gentle, approachable and friendly dentist. She explains her procedures thoroughly and wants to always ensure you are feeling comfortable throughout every visit. She enjoys helping people and encouraging patients who would usually avoid dental treatment.
Furthermore, Dr Truong has found great personal satisfaction in volunteer work. She has been involved with various charity groups, including Vietnam Vision Projects and AusViet Charity Foundation. These groups organize yearly volunteer trips to Vietnam and Cambodia to provide much needed medical and dental care and humanitarian aid to orphanages and villages.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Truong is a passionate adventurer and she enjoys rock climbing and hiking in her spare time.
