Dr. Leanne Hou
Dentist, Prosthodontist | B.D.S (Otago, NZ) Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Otago, NZ)
I graduated from University of Otago with a Bachelor of Dental surgery. After that, I worked as an associate dentist for a couple years. Then I progressed to become the principle dentist of a long established private practice in Auckland for more than 6 years. Following that I was accepted to a Doctoral study in dentistry and became a prosthodontist. In 2012, I moved to Brisbane to take on a teaching job at the School of Dentistry University of Queensland, and moved to the Gold coast after two years. I practiced in private practices in the Brisbane region in the last a couple of years. Currently I teach part time at the Dental School of Griffith University and have been practising at DB Dental Bell Place since the end of 2015.
I enjoy all facets of dentistry but in particular the prosthodontics work, including treatments for patients with single or multiple missing teeth, patients with multiple worn teeth, patients experiencing breakdown of fillings and or tooth/teeth using various types of crowns, bridges, dentures and implants. I am passionate about the comprehensive approach in dentistry and value the importance of preventative dentistry. I strive to create a comfortable environment for all patients – younger patients or adults.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with family, go to the beaches, watch documentaries, cooking and dining, playing badminton and tennis.
