Dr Sweta Paliwal

Dr Sweta Paliwal graduated from dentistry in 2003 from the University of Queensland with Class I Honours. She obtained extensive experience working in private and public practice sectors for the next five years in Sydney, the Hunter region of NSW and Gold Coast.
In 2008, she commenced a three year specialist training program in Periodontics at Griffith University in the Gold Coast, and since graduating in 2011, has been working in periodontal private practice full-time. She has served as past president of the Australian Society of Periodontology (QLD) in 2012, and is current treasurer of the AMARA Gold Coast Dental Study Group. She is a member of various professional organisations including the Australian Dental Association, International Team for Implantology, Australian Society of Periodontology, and Australian & New Zealand Academy of Periodontists, as well as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
She has a strong grounding in academics and has been involved in many research projects in this field. She continues to participate in the clinical supervision of university dental students, which she greatly enjoys. Sweta is dedicated to the treatment and management of all aspects of periodontal diseases and implant therapy, and is a caring and compassionate clinician.
Besides periodontics, Sweta enjoys learning dance, travelling, cooking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
