Teacher’s Health Fund insurance customers: Can DB Dental help teachers?
At DB Dental we value the contribution teachers make to the community. We are proud to be a preferred provider to Teacher’s Health Insurance.
I have Teacher’s Health Insurance. Can I visit a DB Dental practice?
The good news for Teacher’s Health insurance customers is that we are a preferred provider to this fund. That means you can definitely visit our dentists, and your health fund works with us to give you improved rates and discounts compared to some dentists.
Does that mean I receive more benefits than other DB Dental patients?
For starters, we offer No Gap check up and cleans to Teacher’s Health Fund members with dental extras. No Gap means you don’t have to pay out of pocket at your appointment, we can claim the cost through your fund. You may receive more benefits than other patients depending on the health fund they are with, or if they have a health fund at all.
Do you accept other health insurance funds, besides Teacher’s Health?
We do accept all major health funds. The biggest difference with Teacher’s Health is that we are a preferred provider with their fund.
Can I visit any DB Dental practice?
You certainly can. You can in fact visit any of our practices across Australia so if you want to visit a dentist on the East Coast, you can visit National Dental Care. We are part of the National Dental Care Group and collectively we have around 60 practices.
Are there any waiting periods?
There can be some waiting periods, particularly for major dental. The best thing to do is start with a checkup and clean, and then if you require further treatment we can assist you with getting an accurate quote.
How do I avoid surprise expenses?
At DB Dental we put treatment plans in writing. This means you have the information you need to take a step back and consider your budget before proceeding. We appreciate finances have a role and we offer Smile Fund, which gives you the ability to treat now and pay installments over a weekly, fortnightly or monthly schedule.
Is Invisalign covered by my health insurance?
This is a common question! A lot of the time health insurance providers have some cover for Orthodontics. This can be a lifetime limit and if in doubt it’s best to consult your provider. This is definitely something we can help you get a quote on if you visit for a free ‘Teeth Straightening / Invisalign’ consult.
